Ski Review: I use the F112rp for lift serviced terrain here at Vail. 90-110 sessions per season. Boot: Dalbello Krypton 130 with Intuition tongue liner and mods. Preferred terrain: off-piste, pow, soft bumps. On-piste: high edge angle carve turns on groomers. I also have the DPS f100rp in a 184cm (my all-time favorite big mountain ski), and the F106 C2 in a 185cm. I would probably prefer the f112 in a 186cm length, if it were available. It is a touch short for my profile. Pro: -excellent carving ski for width -excellent edge, progressive and linear turn initiation when tuned properly (.7 bottom- 1 degree side edge angle) -love the 15 meter turn radius -excellent in pow -more directional than loose and playful -very good in soft-pow bumps -love bamboo core, excellent damping, very durable -heavier weight -stiffer flex -recommended mount point is correct for all three skis -all three skis prefer weight forward to neutral stance, driving the front of the ski, with shins against tongue of boot. -price Cons: -Would not recommend for skiers who ride in a weight back position, and prefer smeared or skidded turns. -if using for backcountry, or light weight is your priority over damping and stability, check out DPS lighter construction cores.
