Manufacturer’s Description of the Dynastar Contact 9:
"For very good technical skiers looking for aggressive and efficient carved turns. This ski is a slightly softer and lighter than the Contact Limited but is enough ski for any very aggressive skier to enjoy. Turn initiation is smooth and secure and the Autodrive design delivers stellar performance with great edge grip and easy control."
Ski-Review’s Verdict:
If you love to carve and you know enough to stay centered, this new Contact 9 should be considered. While they do not tolerate riding the tails, if you “bend ‘em in the middle” they leave some perfect concentric trenches carved in the snow and there’s even a little “kick” from the tail when you ski them hard and fast.
Something to consider when choosing between the Contact 9 and the Limited is the weight of the skier and the desired turn shape. The 9 is a lot of ski and will be a more prudent choice for skiers expecting quicker turns and easier mogul skiing (the 9 is one of the best in the bumps).
The new Dynastar Contact 9 is an enviable blend of performance and pure fun. Lots of taper angle combined with Autodrive technology translates to lots of superlatives and huge BENEFITS to all skiers.
