Dynastar Exclusive Active 2008 Ski Review

The first thing you feel on this ski is a sensation of very light skis that go wherever you want, whenever you want. They seem to go where you are looking, almost as if they are connected to your thoughts. Years ago Dynastar made a ski called the “Intuitiv”. They should have saved the name for this one. They are so easy to ski but they are so much more than the price would suggest.

Manufacturer’s Description of the Dynastar Exclusive Active:

"An authentic “Game Improvement” ski designed by Women, tested by Women, and now offered to Women at a price that crushes the competition when it comes to quality and performance."

Ski-Review’s Verdict:

More Ladies would ski more often and better if they got on a the Exclusive Active. Not for expert women who ski hard and fast. But for the average skier looking for fun with a lower price, here is your solution, and you’ll smile when you think of all the fun you’re having, and how much better you’re getting on a ski that was designed for women, by women that ski and test the skis throughout the process.

All the testers agree on this one. While you may not be able to buy happiness, this ski is as close as it gets. It’s the prudent choice for Women looking to improve, on an elegant looking ski that will actually help them get better.

Surprising torsional strength adds to the edge hold capabilities, making the Active a great choice for Women who spend most of their time on packed or icy trails. Carving is second nature to this ski.

The review on the Active (above) reflects the opinions of Women testers. For comparing all Women’s skis we trust the input of several Ladies who ski at different levels, therby giving us a more objective assessment of who the ski is for and what they do best.

I merely compile their evaluations. Hope this clears up confusion.

Have just returned from a great week in Val d’Isere where, when I tried out the Exclusive Activ my daughter was using, I could not wait to swap my own Atomic Carv skis (rather elderly but much loved) for a pair like hers.  What fun they were - rather shorter than I was used to but with the years creeping on, much easier to manoeuvre.  She said she did not recognise her competent but usually careful mother last week as I enjoyed every run, be it blue, red or black, with a speed and style I hadn’t achieved for ages.

Now I am planning to buy a pair before we go again in March.

Thank you Dynastar

Hi! Are there any bindings that are suitable for the Dynastar Exclusive Active 2008 ski other than the Look Nova Exclusive? I am having trouble finding a binding that will fit my skis that I just bought! Thanks!
