Ski Review: Don’t be put off by the size (girth) of this ski. It is surprisingly nimble for 120mm under foot. Generous tip and tail rocker mean its effective edge length is significantly shorter than 190cm. Hence no problem on groomers.
But it is in pow where the Ripstick 120 comes into its own. With a new generation tip shape and amble rocker, the front of the skis float exceptionally well.
This ski is the final iteration of Elan’s Boomerang. It was only produced in its Ripstick carnation for one year. Still available if you look on-line. Get it while you can.
