I skied the 189 all ‘08 and ‘09 season and this is a sturdy ski that will give you a good time anywhere on the mountain. Its particularly comfortable in versatile back country areas, and performs very well on steep terrain with deep snow. I don’t recommend the 189 for a resort ski because its not good in moguls or the park, but I skied the 2006-2007 pistols in the 2007-2008 season and they absolutley owned the resort, so I think its safe to say the 169 would rock the park and the big mountains for the average sized guy.

if you want something that can handle steeps, groomers, powder, tree skiing, and park this is the ski. it’s a true all arounder. Mount them 2mm up from traditional for the best versatility. Mine are mounted at traditional for powder days. Get these skis if you see them for sale!!!!!

I’ve skied these 40+ days on everything the East has thrown at me to include small woodland animals and kitchen appliances…these skis rock except at absolute breakneck speeds where they get away from me.
