Manufacturer's Description

Patented Efficient Dynamic Technology has been designed to save a substantial amount of the athlete’s energy and to increase power transmission. This innovation, initially applied to ski boots, has been used in the new Dobermann Spitfire EDT ski for more efficient performance. A special carbon alloy inserted in the ski and secured at 4 attachment points provides greater flexibility, a more penetrating action when initiating a turn and unbeatable stability in every situation, even the most extreme.

Ski Review's Verdict:

First 2011 review and the honour falls to Nordica.

Nordica’s EDT (Efficient Dynamic Technology) technology allows the ski to flex without losing torsional stiffness, and it seems to do the job here, allowing the ski to bend in the turn while still railing. This combined with middle of the road dimensions (124/72/107 in 170 and 178, 122-72-105 in 154-162) allows the skier to switch between GS and SL turns.

Did not really perform on in the bumps, the EDT Pro needed to be firmly on the slope to work and on a freshly pisted run this ski started to make sense. This ski ate the turns, flowing from one to the next without argument, but with plenty of immediate bite and pope should you want it. Very quick edge to edge.

One issue though – price. It’s hard to see why this Nordica is so expensive. Seems too much for a ski especially when other brands including Nordica have skis that are as good or better.

Overall, the EDT Pro skis very well - super quick under foot and fantastic for the all mountain carver.  Down side is price!
