Nordica SpeedMachine 14 2005 Ski Review

In short this ski does not like going slow – the SpeedMachine 14 is rather aptly named then!

Ski-Review’s Verdict:

The SpeedMachine 14 is a very good example of the top of the range as the ski gives off all the right characteristics and feels like it should be at the top.
If you want to charge around the mountain on blues, reds and blacks with tons of grip and confidence and not a worry about what is on your feet this is the one for you.

On the groom it is exceptionally stable at speed, has grip all trough the turn and a cheeky little kick from the tail at the end of the turn.  In fact if someone had told me this was from Nordica’s race range then I would not have argued.  The SpeedMachine is one of those products which in the right hands is as versatile as a Swiss Army Knife.

Like most high performance skis you need to keep the SpeedMachine in tune - sharp edges are essential on skis like these as the speeds you can reach on these you can’t really afford for mistakes as coming off might hurt a little at Mach 3.

Conclusion?

A totally exhilarating ski all in all, I was smiling yet out of breath after using this. Nor could I wait to try the race range from Nordica (if these where any thing to go by I was in for some fun).
