Salomon XW Enduro 2011 Ski Review
One of the nice surprises of our on snow test. Salomon’s new Enduro delivers muscle with manners.

A true high-performance all mountain ski, the Enduro combines unrivaled stability and control from powerline with all mountain rocker for more terrain.
Ski Review's Verdict:
Two sheets of Titanium alloy and a wood core are usually reserved for RACE only skis. But, add a rockered camber and the light feel of the Enduro, and you have a “ski hard all day feel” that skilled skiers will love.
Turn initiation is solid and precise while the rocker allows variable degrees of “steer” and “carve”. Control is inspiring and the Enduro is right at home in less than perfect conditions that are so often the norm as the afternoon snow turns to junk. The vertical sidewalls provide stellar edge grip and carving feels precise, responding to subtle input from the skier. There is enough energy from the ski to accelerate from any shape turn without fear of reprisal or too much kick like so many “race only” skis that don’t offer the “ski me anywhere” feel of the Enduro.
Salomon has a new success story and we bet the new Enduro will “endure” and find its way into many skiers hearts.
