If you need a powder ski that can be skied on the groomed and crud as well, this is your ski. I have the Jester’s on these baby’s - featherlite snow sails. I don’t believe in the all-mountain ski, just that ski have a certain range. Powder needs a 100+mm waist width at the least. I have 4 skis in my quiver, the Gotama being the biggest. Others: Volkl Grizzly’s for -1’ powder , Volkl AC 40’s for crud, and Volkl Tigershark 10ft Powerswitch’s for the ice. Missing the 120+mm true powder monster? No, never bother buying one, because the heli-ski operation should have these on hand.

I used the 183’s on a day out with Purcell. Awesome umatched ski for the bowls and deep wide turns, however they were almost unmanageable in the trees, especially the tight ones. The powder was not that deep, a max 3 foot and probably 1-2 in most places. I would say that for an all-round heli ski the Gotama’s in 176 would have been better able to cope with the powder and the trees. I’m 6ft and 75kgs.

I ski the 191 everywhere. I ski the trees all over the Mountain. Stable at speed, nimble when pressed to perform. Heavier than some, but woth the extra effort.

Have had this ski in both a 183 and 190. At 6’2” 190lbs, the 190 is a superior ski. These ski short. 190 measures 186, and with the twin skis a 182-184’ish. 183 measures 179 and skis a 174.
I use this as pretty much my everyday ski in both the west and east coast. Great in some pow, mank, crud and rails groomers back to the lift. Handles ok on the ice too.
Great one quiver ski, or great to add to a quiver.
I paired my with 189 Hellbents for big pow and 178 Dynastar contact 4x4 for frontside (which I rarely use now)

This is an AWESOME ski. Great for those 1’ to 3’ of powder on-piste runs. This ski works good on crud and groomed runs. Icy, no that’s a no no, just to big. I’d recommend this ski to someone who wants a powder ski that’s easy to ski. What does it lack? Nothing!
