Atomic Skis 2006

Leading alpine ski brand Atomic has introduced its strongest, most authentic and complete range of skis for women - the BalanZe range.

Atomic has paid special attention to the way women ski and has designed a range of skis that incorporate the latest technology to provide a fully progressive, individual and unique range for women at all levels of skiing.  Also to ensure that it appeals to its target audience Atomic has teamed up with top fashion house Esprit to ensure that the range has an aesthetically pleasing and alluring design.

“The new Atomic BalanZe range is an independent range that perfectly reflects the traits of modern female skiers as it is designed by women for women.” said Atomic’s Jason Summerfield. “Atomic has pioneered the introduction of a new technology in the BalanZe range that is destined to help female skiers have more control and fun on the slopes,” he added.

Atomic’s increased involvement with female skiers has already reaped benefits as Michaela Dorfmeister, in her first season on the Atomic system (boots, skis and bindings), won the Super-G crystal globe on the World Cup.  Elsewhere, Atomic’s men led by overall World Cup winner Bode Miller and Downhill World Champion Michael Walchoffer won every individual discipline on the World Cup tour and 14 out of 15 medals on offer at the 2005 World Championships in Bormio.

There are five skis in the BalanZe range.  Each has a different, dynamic style yet all have had the binding position moved forward in the ski and the heel raised slightly resulting in a neutral body position with the weight encouraged to be pushed forward on the ski.

The B11:PULS: is an all terrain, all mountain ski using Atomic’s Metron technology.  The ski is aimed at ambitious female skiers with advanced technique and those aspiring to that level.  Its wider geometry combined with the longer pulsers behind the bindings and shorter ones in the shovel offers more stability and support in difficult situations and a softer ski for effortless turning. RRP£379.95 including bindings

The B9:6 DIVA, B7:4 LADY, B5:3 GIRLIE and B3:1 skis are all constructed using Atomic’s new unique Nano Technology frame.
